Hire Bikes

By accepting the bike(s) the hirer accepts that they are in good technical safe and clean condition and must be returned in the same condition. Bikes and equipment hired remain the property of On Your Bike.

The hirer is obliged to take good care of the bike hired and take all precautions necessary to protect from damage or theft. All the bikes are regularly maintained and inspected prior to each hiring as the safety of the client is paramount.

It is the hirer’s responsibility to double check the bike and report any damage prior to setting off.

On return an On Your Bike member of staff will examine the bikes/equipment and if there is no damage or loss will confirm the Hire complete, and any deposits taken will be refunded or cancelled accordingly.

If for any reason a full inspection cannot be undertaken upon the bikes return, On Your Bike reserves the right to inform the customer within 48hrs of any damage found and invoice the hirer accordingly.

Should any damage be sustained to the bike or components during the hire period, the hirer is responsible for the full replacement cost at current market price of the whole or part of the bike so damaged. The hirer is responsible for the full replacement cost of the bike/equipment if it is lost or stolen during the hire period. It is recommended that the hire bike is kept in sight at all times.

Should you wish to transport the hire bikes to another location, this is done so at the hirers own risk and cost.

If the wheels or any other items are removed for transport, it is up to the hirer to ensure that they are reinstalled correctly.

Should any damage to the bike occur such as scratches to the frame and decals or any other damage i.e. buckled wheels, torn saddle/bar tape, the hirer will be responsible for repairs as quoted by On Your Bike.

Children under 18 years must be accompanied by a riding adult at all times.

Any bikes returned in an extremely dirty condition will incur an additional cleaning charge of £49 per bike. This charge is at the discretion of On Your Bike.

Lost/stolen Bicycles will be charged at the following capped amounts;

Hybrids

  £250

Aluminium Road

Helmets are not compulsory on Britain’s roads, however, we supply these at no extra cost to your hire and recommend you wear them. We cannot be held responsible for any damage or injuries incurred as a result of customers not wearing a helmet.
Cyclists are expected to follow the Highway Code and any other cycling code applicable.

You undertake to cycle carefully and sensibly at all times and not undertake any manoeuvres which are beyond your level of skill or beyond the design purposes of the bicycle provided.

We reserve the right not to provide a bicycle for whatever reason in the interests of safety.

You are responsible for the care and safekeeping of the bicycle and any accessories provided with it which remains the property of On Your Bike at all times. You are responsible for ensuring that the bicycle is securely locked to an immovable object when left unattended.
